Tilly Hudgins is losing the hotel wars. Celeste Romero—social media queen, baking prodigy, and owner of the impossibly glamorous Ventura Hotel—is stealing all of Tilly’s guests with her pink palace of luxury. So when Celeste shows up asking Tilly to investigate death threats against her, Tilly’s first instinct is to laugh in her perfectly contoured face.
But then Celeste actually gets kidnapped.
Now Tilly’s stuck playing detective in a gaudy mansion full of suspicious butlers, terrifying guard dogs, and more pink than should be legally allowed. Between tracking down jilted ex-boyfriends, betrayed business partners, and bitter former assistants, Tilly’s got her hands full trying to find Celeste before it’s too late.
Oh, and Aunt Pearl’s hex finally kicked in—she, Quin, and Myrtle have been shrunk to the size of sugar cubes after insulting a Namoxi witch. Tilly barely has them settled in a makeshift Tupperware habitat when she gets shrunk too, courtesy of militant pixies who demand she retrieve a stolen beetle crown from a rival hive or stay tiny forever.
Can Tilly solve a kidnapping from inside a Tupperware container? Can she negotiate with tiny tyrants while tracking down suspects at full size? And will she find Celeste before the trail goes cold—or will her annoying rival’s disappearance become permanent?
Murder’s one thing. But pixie politics? That’s a whole new level of small-minded chaos.
